WeWork Hakata Opening Ceremony Held.
On September 1, 2026, WeWork Hakata opened on the 9th and 10th floors of the Nishi-Nippon City Building in Hakata, Fukuoka, marking WeWork Japan’s third location in Fukuoka.
To celebrate the opening, we held the WeWork Hakata Opening Ceremony on Friday, September 11.
The ceremony welcomed representatives from Fukuoka City Government, Nishi-Nippon City Bank, and Fukuoka Jisho Co., Ltd., and featured a tape-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of WeWork Hakata.
A panel discussion was also held under the theme “Expectations and Initiatives for a New Co-Creation Hub in Fukuoka,” with representatives from Nishi-Nippon City Bank, Fukuoka City Government, and lululemon.
The panelists exchanged views on supporting the growth of local companies and startups, new ways of working that promote well-being, and the unique innovations that can emerge through collaboration among government, businesses, and communities in Fukuoka.
With the opening of WeWork Hakata as a starting point, WeWork Japan will further strengthen collaboration with Fukuoka City, local businesses, WeWork members, and a wide range of other partners.
As part of these efforts, WeWork Japan will participate as a CO-CREATE PARTNER of “RAMEN TECH 2026,” taking place in Fukuoka from October 7 to 11, 2026, and will launch multiple initiatives throughout October.
WeWork Japan will continue to foster an environment where new businesses and innovations can emerge from Fukuoka and across Kyushu, with its three locations in Nakasu, Tenjin, and Hakata serving as key hubs.
