It is said that it's not easy for foreigners to rent their apartment in Japan.

The reasons are as follows.

1 You have to use an agent but many of them don't speak English.You would be required some conversation level of Japanese to confirm whole process and paper works.

2.You need Japanese bank account to pay move-in cost/monthly payment

3 You need a Japanese cellphone number.

4 You need to budget between 3month to 6month to rent as initial cost.(First month’s rent,Deposit ,Key money,Agent’s commission ,Guarantor company fee Property maintenance fee,Renters/Fire insurance,Lock exchange fee)

5 You have to have a guarantor.

6 You cannot rent an apartment from overseas

Not only these reasons but many of people from overseas get in trouble when they rent their apartment.
