After welcoming many new residents between March and April, we were finally able to hold our Welcome Party!
For over a month, we prepared this event with one goal in mind: to create an opportunity for residents to connect, make new friends, and build a sense of community.
On the day of the event, residents brought food and drinks from their own countries, creating a warm and lively atmosphere filled with conversation, laughter, and cultural exchange.
We prepared a Japanese hand-rolled sushi station (Temaki Sushi) for everyone to enjoy! 🍣
Many residents tried making hand-rolled sushi for the first time, carefully choosing their favorite ingredients and wrapping them in seaweed. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the experience and sharing smiles over delicious food.
More than 25 residents, including many newcomers, joined the party.
One of the most memorable moments was seeing residents naturally gather together, start conversations, and form new connections without any prompting. Watching those interactions reminded us of the true value of community and cultural exchange.
Life in the share house is just beginning for many of our residents, and we hope this event becomes the start of lasting friendships and unforgettable memories in Japan.

3月から4月にかけてたくさんの新しい入居者が増え、先日ようやくウェルカムパーティーを開催することができました！
「入居者同士が交流し、新しいつながりを作るきっかけになってほしい」
そんな思いから、1か月以上前から準備を進めてきました。
当日は、それぞれの国の食べ物や飲み物を持ち寄り、食事を楽しみながら会話に花を咲かせる温かい時間に。
私たちが用意したのは手巻き寿司！
初めて挑戦する方も多く、興味津々な様子で好きな具材を選びながら、自分だけの手巻き寿司を作って楽しんでいました🍣
当日は新しい入居者を含め、25名以上が参加。
誰かに促されるわけでもなく、自然と輪ができ、笑顔で会話を楽しむ姿があちこちで見られました。
そんな光景を見て、私たちが大切にしている「交流」の価値を改めて感じることができました。
これからもシェアハウスでの生活は続いていきます。
このパーティーをきっかけにさらに仲を深め、日本での暮らしが素敵な思い出であふれるものになれば嬉しいです！
