Busia Governor H.E. Dr. Paul Nyongesa Otuoma, together with Principal Secretary State Department for MSMEs Development Susan Mang'eni and Principal Secretary for Economic Planning Dr. Bonface Makokha, held a high-level meeting with Principal Secretary Dr. Belio Kipsang and National Registration Bureau Secretary Mr. Gilbert Kitiyo to accelerate National ID registration across Busia County.

This is what purposeful leadership looks like leaaders working together to solve real challenges that affect our youth and every eligible citizen. Access to a National ID means access to opportunities, jobs, higher education, financial services and full participation in national development.

While busy bodies are glued to social media manufacturing propaganda and spreading negativity, serious leaders are seated around decision-making tables delivering practical solutions for the people of Busia. Development is not achieved through empty slogans, cheap politics, or endless criticism. It is achieved through collaboration, planning and action.

To the naysayers who wake up every day hoping to discredit every step of progress, the facts continue to disappoint you. Busia is moving forward and no amount of propaganda can erase the visible results of focused leadership.

KENYANS, LET US HAVE A SERIOUS NATIONAL DEBATE

Do we truly understand the meaning of GOVERNMENT?

Do we understand the meaning of a PUBLIC SERVANT?

Do we understand the meaning of PUBLIC TREASURY?

These are serious questions every citizen must begin asking.

A government is supposed to serve the people — not itself.

Public servants are elected and employed to work for citizens, not to enjoy luxury while wananchi continue suffering.

Public treasury is taxpayers’ money. It is not personal money for leaders to misuse while citizens lack basic services.

Today, many Kenyans are asking:

1. When does the President sit down fully and work on the daily struggles of ordinary citizens?

2. Why is leadership becoming more about endless tours and politics instead of solving real problems?

3. State House is the symbol of national leadership and responsibility, not a place for politics alone.

As citizens of Western Kenya and the entire country, we demand our constitutional rights:

* Clean and safe water for every citizen.
* Better education and enough teachers in schools.
* Proper healthcare with drugs available every month.
* Good roads from national government to county governments.
* Better services at borders and customs areas.
* Accountability from all leaders handling public funds.

We are tired of confusion in leadership.

Some leaders are not performing, yet they continue asking for support without visible results on the ground.

Citizens are watching.

The problem is growing from the national government down to county governments.

Many leaders are enjoying public money while ordinary citizens suffer daily.

They secure their breakfast, lunch, and supper using taxpayers’ money while roads remain poor, hospitals lack medicine, and youth remain unemployed.

We have thousands of vehicles transporting goods across Kenya, yet roads are still in terrible condition.

Corruption in different offices, including traffic departments and public institutions, continues hurting wananchi.

This must stop.

We do not want leaders who silence citizens through fear, arrests, or intimidation.

We want leaders who perform.

Perform first and speak less.

Let projects speak for you.

Do not show us ghost projects that cannot be seen on the ground.

Citizens will naturally support leaders who deliver services honestly.

Do not force citizens to support second terms when there is no visible development.

Leadership is earned through service, accountability, and results.

According to the Constitution of Kenya, the President and all leaders must respect, protect, and serve the people of Kenya.

The Constitution belongs to wananchi, not politicians.

Kenya belongs to all citizens.

Our voices matter.
