The middle class remains a peculiarly reckless group. Someone can raise a million shillings to buy a plot but cannot spend thirty thousand on a land consultant to verify whether the land is disputed. That makes no sense.

This is the same group that buys counterfeit phones, overpriced faulty cars, and substandard beauty products made from cooking oil and food coloring sold at ten thousand shillings. They also buy used products from the UK at inflated prices.

They drive their small cars to a gym two kilometers away, only to run on a treadmill. They eat everything they missed while growing up, then claim their bodies are genetically predisposed to weight gain. They walk around with fancy water bottles. They give their children double English names and say their native names are outdated.

That is the pattern.

As someone who has always been deeply passionate about the creative arts and the power of storytelling, I am proud to introduce the Embu International Film & Creative Arts Festival (EMBU IFCA FEST 2026 ) to my professional network.

I have the privilege of serving as the Lead Logistics Officer for this exciting initiative, scheduled to take place from 26th July to 2nd August 2026.

For me, this festival is more than an event. It is a platform that celebrates creativity, culture, film, and artistic expression while creating real opportunities for collaboration, learning, and industry growth.

EMBU IFCA FEST will bring together filmmakers, creatives, audiences, and industry stakeholders from across the region and beyond through curated screenings, panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions. Our vision is to position Embu as a growing hub for creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange.

Our official launch during the (Kalasha International Film & TV Awards and Market) marked an important milestone, and we are committed to building a festival that is impactful, professional, and memorable for everyone involved.

I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to sharing more updates as we prepare for this landmark event.
