The problem is,
people attend funerals of those they ignored while alive,
crying over graves they never visited
when the soul still needed company.
They bring flowers to caskets,
but never to doorsteps.
They write eulogies for hearts
they helped break.
They cry the loudest for the ones
they never called.
They say, “I loved you,”
when silence can’t reply.
Maybe that’s the truth—
people only show up
when it’s already too late!
