From seed to forest, from vision to reality.

Sustainability is not an add-on at Tatu City - it is the foundation of how the city is built and grows. Through our seed collection initiative, indigenous seeds are carefully gathered, nurtured in our nursery, and grown into strong trees that are eventually reintroduced into landscapes and restoration sites across the city.

Today, our nursery is home to over 40,000 mature trees - many of them grown from seeds collected within our own ecosystems. These trees play a vital role in restoring balance, replacing invasive species, and strengthening biodiversity.

Our goal is bold but intentional: 40% tree cover at full capacity, creating a true “city in a forest” where nature and urban life thrive together.

Because green spaces are more than scenery - they are essential to wellbeing, offering places to breathe, reflect, and reconnect.

At Tatu Reach, Tatu City’s ESG programme, we believe every child deserves access to quality education. We are not only building a city, but we are also building futures.

We are proud to partner with FoodAdvice for our After-School AI programme, bringing learning to life through real-world, gamified experiences. FoodAdvice is an educational platform that engages talented young people in food entrepreneurship to solve local food challenges. It is based at The Link - Kenya’s first Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) warehousing and logistics park in Tatu City.

Through this collaboration and the use of real-world simulations, students will build practical skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving, while gaining guidance for their future careers. This partnership reflects our commitment to equipping young people with the skills they need to succeed, supporting SDG 4: Quality Education.
