Mjengo Monday.
Flash back to this amazing project we were privileged to be part of - KMTC, Marsabit.
We learnt alot in this project - first , the choice of roofing cover in this area is greatly influenced by presence of monkeys in the area due to close proximity to the forest thus the corrugated profile type of roof cover. Any other profile simply cannot work as the monkeys hold onto the sheet rib and cause damage. Second, Marsabit is terribly cold in the morning with the fog going on till 8/9 in the morning with poor visibility.
Third, Marsabit town has no boreholes as the town is nestled on top of a hill and has to rely on the neighbouring towns down the hill for water.
All in all, it was a good project and for a good cause , the kind of projects that we like to be part of.
