There’s a specific kind of tired that comes from a city. Not the good tired the one where you’ve been busy all day and can’t name a single thing you actually did.

Kilifi runs at a different speed. Afternoons are for the shade. Nothing about the day feels like it’s being taken from you.

That’s most of what people are buying when they buy land out here. Not just the plot the pace that comes with it. Space between houses. Paths instead of pavements. A walk that doesn’t have to have a destination💚

The Green Corridor isn’t something Green Heart Kilifi built alone.

David works with the Centre for Ecosystem Restoration Kenya one of the partners doing the actual science and groundwork of putting a coastal forest back where one used to be. Indigenous species.

We work with specialists because restoration is a discipline, not a gesture. CERK bring the science. We bring the land and the long-term commitment to it.

‎Last week we took Green Heart Kilifi to the Africa Biophilic Building Conference & Expo in Nairobi two days of architects, developers and policymakers working through what it means to build with nature rather than over it.

Here’s Gladys, our Sales and Stakeholder Relations lead, presenting what GHK actually is: not a set of green features bolted onto a development, but a community designed around living in harmony with nature from the ground up💚.

Something is going up on site, and it’s not a house. Every road at Green Heart needs blocks. Thousands of them. Instead of waiting on deliveries, we’re building the capacity to make them ourselves, right here on the 750 acres.💚

It’s a small thing that makes a difference later, the roads get built on our schedule, not someone else’s. Which means when a phase is ready for its roads, the blocks are already here. 🏗️
