Once you display a notice of vacant house be alert full-tigvme, "mchezo wa taon" is advancing daily, someone will call you expressing interest on your vacant house, he or she will go ahead to ask for mode of payment and insist on bank and account, the said potential tenant will deposit a cheque exceeding house rent amount plus house deposit and pretend everything is ok you will be deducting rent from deposited amount, (remember at this point the so said tenant has not occupied house yet). In the evening of the same day the cheque was deposited, he or she will call you and pretend he or she needs money for transport and requests if you can send back like possibly half of what the potential tenant deposited for facilitation, (remember if house rent and deposit is 10k the conmen deposited like 30k) , at this point if you fall to this trap and send them what they are asking via mpesa that is how you will remain with a fake cheque, your money lost and potential tenant will never be seen again.
