If you, as the landowner, by words, actions, or silence, allow someone to build or develop your land, and they spend money believing they have your permission — you may lose the right to evict them just like that.

There’s no written agreement

It was just “temporary”

You’re the registered owner

The law protects people who’ve suffered a loss after relying on your promise.
