My heart is heavy. Right now, my beloved homeland, Cambodia, is facing a heartbreaking conflict with our neighbor, Thailand. It’s painful to witness two nations—so deeply connected by history, culture, and humanity—fall into the tragedy of war.
This is not just about borders or politics. This is about lives. About mothers losing sons, children living in fear, and generations being torn apart by hatred. We, the people, did not ask for this. We want peace. We want dignity. We want the chance to build our futures without bloodshed staining our soil.
To the world: We are not aggressors. We are not invaders. We are defending our home, our families, and our right to exist in peace. Cambodia has suffered enough—from genocide to poverty, and now war again. But through every dark chapter, our spirit has never been broken.
To my Cambodian brothers and sisters—stay strong. Stay united. Let this be a time where we lift each other up, not tear each other down. And to our neighbors in Thailand, we pray for your people too. War hurts us all. The true enemy is not each other—it’s fear, pride, and the hunger for power.
Let our prayer rise louder than the sound of bombs. Let compassion be louder than hate. And let the world see: We are Khmer. We are resilient. We fight with honor. But above all, we fight for peace.
