Outrageous
There is a DIALOG manhole in Goviayapana, for a long time it was a sunken hole on the road, it sank under the road level and was deep and dangerous. Tracks and buses drove through it and made a huge mess around, for bikes and tuktuks it was just simple dangerous, especially on rainy days.
Then one day someone poured tarmac over it and for a week it was fixed and in level. I mean really for a week and no more! Then the road started to sink in again!!
Then a week ago DIALOG workman came and broke up the road in order to change it again (I assume). That’s just one thing that they haven’t finished the work! What is outrageous that they left all garbage behind them. The empty cement bag is flying along the road, the rubish and scrap that they broke up from the road was dumped beside the gate of a guesthouse! It is also very sad that such large company pays no attention to Sri Lanka’s environment and pollution!
The manhole was fenced around with some wood and yellow tape. Of course it didn’t last longer than a day. Now, the work site is there in the middle of the road, open for all cars and bikes to drive through. Again, it is most dangerous and can easily damage any vehicle.
