Building climate-resilient tea landscapes, one field officer at a time. 🪴🫖

The Biodiversity and Sustainable Land Management Project funded by the Global Environment Facility and implemented by the Government of and the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP recently brought together field and office executives of the Janatha Estates Development Board (JEDB) for an intensive two-day training on Sustainable Land Management using the Farmer Field School approach.

Through field demonstrations, agroforestry model visits, and expert-led sessions on biodiversity conservation, soil management, climate-resilient tea cultivation, and social inclusion, participants strengthened their knowledge and skills to drive more sustainable plantation practices.

By investing in people, we are investing in healthier ecosystems, more resilient tea estates, and a greener future for Sri Lanka.🍃
