Liberia's 177th Independence
On this auspicious day of July 26, we gather as a nation to celebrate Liberia's 177th Independence Day, marking a significant milestone in our rich history as the oldest independent country in Africa. As we reflect on our journey few months ago to rescue this country from hands of those “Economic Vampires and corruption leadership, we are reminded of the sacrifices, struggles, and triumphs that have shaped our nation into a more clearer future under the leadership of my beloved President JNB..
Since our independence in 1847, Liberians have overcome numerous challenges and adversities as a people. What we just did on November 14, 2023 as people, with out international intervention has proven to the world that Liberian are ready and this call has to be heard! We can still emerge as we were ones a beacon of hope and progress on the African continent. Our commitment to democracy, peace, and development has been unwavering, thanks to the dedication and resilience of our people.
Under the leadership of President Joseph N. Boakai, Liberia has made great strides in advancing economic growth, improving infrastructure, and fostering social cohesion. President Boakai's vision for a prosperous and inclusive Liberia has inspired us to work together towards building a better future for all Liberians.
As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us also take a moment to honor the heroes and heroines who fought for our nation’s freedom and independence. Their courage and determination continue to inspire us to uphold the values of transparency, equality, and justice that are at the core of our national identity.
On this Independence Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to unity, peace, and progress as we strive to build a more prosperous and equitable society for future generations. Together, let us work towards realizing the full potential of our beloved Liberia and ensuring that every Liberian has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
To our foreign partners, both residents, nonresidents, governmental and nongovernmental, please begin to treat us fairly, as we have always welcomed you all to our country in good faith and we deserve to be treated the same. Liberia deserves better.
