🏠 Renting in Luxembourg? The deposit rules changed in 2024 — make sure you know your rights! 👇

Big news for tenants and landlords: since 1 August 2024, Luxembourg's new rental law brought some welcome changes.

Deposits are now capped at 2 months' rent (was 3!), excluding charges. Agency fees are split 50/50 between landlord and tenant.
The entry inventory (état des lieux) is now mandatory. Your deposit comes back on a clear timeline:

• 50% within 1 month of your exit inventory
• The other 50% within 1 month of the final charges statement

And landlords who pay late? They now face a 10% penalty per overdue month ⚖️
