In recent years, Montenegro has significantly strengthened its position in the international real estate market and is now considered one of the most promising investment destinations in Europe.
The main factor is the European Union accession process, which historically leads to an increase in property values and provides long-term capital growth potential.
Another important factor is legal security: all purchase agreements are executed through notaries and state registries, ensuring full transparency. Buying illegal properties is not possible, as all such buildings are subject to mandatory legalization, which is already actively underway.
The third factor is the country’s development and quality of life. Montenegro is becoming a year-round living destination: in recent years, there has been a growing number of foreigners, infrastructure is developing, and private schools, kindergartens, and lifestyle services are opening—not only tourism-oriented ones. The mild Mediterranean climate, sea, mountains, and clean nature create an environment where people not only invest but also want to live.
