๐ Invitation from "Arimadanapura Award for Literature" ( 1st National English Flash Prose Competition)
๐โ๏ธDear Literature aficionados and writers from across Myanmar,
With immense delight, we inform you of the news that submissions for our competition โArimadanapura Award for Literatureโ are open now. The competition is conducted with the noble intention of promoting Western Literature and of glorifying the most outstanding local English writer who writes an excellent work of prose which helps consolidate the literary image of our country and in turn, contributes to the flourishment of the World Literature Realm as a grain of sand.

1. The Winner will receive the prestigious award memento in the name of "Arimadanapura Award for Literature" along with the cash prize of 1 lakh.
2. Shortlisted runners-up (1-3 finalists) will receive the formidable title called "Honourable Mention for Merit in Literature" provided the juries find eligible writers for this category.
โก๏ธ Eligibility: The contest welcomes writers of any age who have not published the works they intend to submit anywhere. Also, both faculty and personalities from the academic field are wholeheartedly called upon to join the contest.
๐ฃRules & Conditions
1. The entry must include a work of flash prose: short fiction, anecdote, memoir and creative nonfiction from the minimum word limitation of 500 to maximum 1500.
2. Diverse themes or subject-matters are accepted (Open).
3. Additional facts, notes or information as regards the content can accompany below the text if need be.
4. Contestants' names or pseudonyms must not be mentioned on the manuscript.
5. Works of flash prose are expected to be submitted in Ms-word format typed in Zawgyi-One or Calibri and in the font size of 10, 11 or 12.
6. Ensure that literary texts are the โOriginal Creationsโ of individual contestants ( IMPORTANT: Let the color of language, the voice of prose, ideas and techniques be 100% authentic).
7. Imitation is a crime against Literature and any entry found guilty of plagiarism will contemptuously be excluded from the competition by all the three judges.
8. If none of the entries is qualified enough to bag the position of "Honourable Mention", the category as a whole will remain unoccupied when the results are announced.
9. This is a blind contest which meticulously conforms to ethics. The evaluation process will be conducted anonymously and based on the criterion of genuine literary merit, the entries will be subjected to the scrupulous and impartial assessment of our three honourable as well as esteemed juries who include Kerriann Godwin King (Bournemouth, United Kingdom), Hein Min Tun (Mawlamyaing, Mon), and Kamalika Majumder (Kolkata, West Bengal, India).
10. Note that any attempt to enter into correspondence with the juries will result in the exclusion from the competition.
11. The Winner of "Arimadanapura Award for Literature" alone will receive insightful remarks of the juries as to his or her respective winning work.
12. Submission is free of charge.
