Archi+ was conceived and set up by a number of individuals who sought a common need to work in a system which breaks the modus operandi of the average architectural practice in Malta and pursue a fundamentally different model of operation. The three individuals owning the firm; a design architect, a structural engineer and a quantity surveyor; together, encapsulate primary aspects for the developm

ent of a holistic building package. Employing, then, various individuals, goes to further strengthen such package and ensures that all the levels involved in designing and building are given due attention individually and as part of the project at hand, since the conglomeration of the different ideas is deemed to be a crucial step that requires broad consultation amidst all employees and partners. It is with such an array of specialised opinions that we think we are able to present a carefully studied product. With a process that begins with research and exploration, our team enjoys the flexibility that enables the healthy combination of the creative spirit at the heart of architectural design and the efficiency in delivery and reliability. All the members of Archi+ have had the opportunity to work on a large number of different projects ranging from the regeneration of small town houses to the project management of the finishes installed in the new Parliament Building. With this knowledge at our helm and ambition as our backbone we are more than certain to be able to provide any entity with the best possible professional service. The entrance sets the tone. A handcrafted perforated timber door filters light and blurs the transition between inside and out. Beyond, the living space is embraced by a curved ceiling that frames the arched openings, while the suspended fireplace and ever-changing reflections from the pool quietly animate the interior. A home shaped by light, shadow and gentle curves.

The loggias. The arches. The softness of curves against heavy masonry. Solid walls punctuated by carefully proportioned openings.

Urban Hotel

Located on a compact urban site, this project is defined by a carefully composed façade that balances rhythm, depth, and context. Strong vertical elements express the arrangement of the internal spaces and the building’s structural rhythm, creating a clear and ordered architectural composition. A darker central volume, clad in a contrasting material, introduces depth and visual interest, while the softened curved corner enhances the pedestrian experience and allows the building to integrate more fluidly with the surrounding streetscape. The result is a contemporary design that responds sensitively to its urban setting while establishing a distinctive architectural identity.

We’re excited to share that our partner, Anthea Huber, will be presenting the project Winnow at this year’s SHARE Malta 2026 International Architecture Forum, taking place on 22 May at the DoubleTree by Hilton Malta. Her presentation will also explore an architectural approach centred on refinement, filtering, and reduction, distilling the design down to its essential architectural elements.

Winnow was recognised at the SHARE Architects Awards 2025, winning in the Completed Buildings – Single House (Individual Use Category).
