The apartment is in the beautiful traditional village of Qala. It forms part of a medium sized complex and is located in a nice, clean and quite street with plenty of free parking spaces on the street. Qala is one of the most sought after villages in Gozo and is considered as one of the best places to use as a base to explore the beauties of is the island. The village square is one of the liveliest in Gozo. There are at least 8 good bars and restaurants in the square and in the outskirts and there are plenty more in the neighbouring villages of Mgarr, Ghajnsielem and Nadur. Qala is also known for being a social place where locals, Maltese, tourists, travellers and local foreigners meet and get to know each other over a drink or a coffee. Qala is surrounded by beautiful walks and amazing country side and sea views and there are 2 beaches within walking distance. All other beaches and towns are within 3 to 20 minutes drive from the apartment. There are some grocery shops, a pharmacy and a bakery but there are plenty of mini and large supermarkets in Mgarr, Ghajnsielem, Nadur and Victoria. The closest ATM Machine is in Nadur, less than 5 minutes drive from the apartment. Getting around:
Renting a car is the best way to explore Gozo but the public transport in Gozo is very cheap and efficient. There are regular direct buses to and from Qala, Victoria (Rabat) and Mgarr Harbour where one can exchange bus and go to any other place is Gozo. The closes bus stops are located 4 minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment is only 7 minutes walk from the main square. Sleeping arrangements:
