L-Awtorità tal-Bini u l-Kostruzzjoni (BCA) tinforma lill-pubbliku u lill-operaturi fis-settur talkostruzzjoni li, fid-dawl tat-twissija ta’ temp estrem li qed tolqot lil pajjiżna, is-servizzi tadDipartiment tal-Infurzar tal-Awtorità mhumiex se jkunu affettwati u se jibqgħu joperaw b’mod normali. Filwaqt li l-Awtorità tappella sabiex, għal raġunijiet ta’ sigurtà, kwalunkwe xogħol ta’ kostruzzjoni, b’mod partikolari xogħol fuq barra, jieqaf temporanjament, l-operat tal-infurzar, il-monitoraġġ tas-siti u l-interventi meħtieġa se jkomplu jsiru mingħajr interruzzjoni.

L-Awtorità tħeġġeġ lill-kuntratturi sabiex jieħdu l-miżuri kollha meħtieġa ta’ prekawzjoni, fosthom li:

• iħallu s-siti ta’ kostruzzjoni nodfa u ordnati,
• ineħħu jew jissikkaw kwalunkwe materjal li jista’ jinġarr jew jtir bir-riħ,
• jiżguraw li l-makkinarju jitħalla f’pożizzjoni sigura, u
• jivverifikaw li strutturi temporanji, hoarding u faċċati jkunu stabbli u f’kundizzjoni li jifilħu rjieħ li mistennija jilħqu sa forza 9.

Kull kuntrattur jibqa’ kompletament responsabbli li jidentifika, jimmitiga u jindirizza kwalunkwe periklu potenzjali jew eżistenti fuq is-sit ta’ kostruzzjoni rispettiv. Għalkemm l-uffiċini tal-Awtorità fil-Marsa u l-Furjana ser ikunu magħluqa għall-pubbliku f iżikament nhar it-Tlieta, 20 ta’ Jannar, minħabba l-kundizzjonijiet tat-temp estrem, dan bl-ebda mod ma jaffettwa s-servizzi tad-Dipartiment tal-Infurzar, li se jibqa’ disponibbli biex jirrispondi għal rapporti, lmenti u sitwazzjonijiet ta’ riskju.

Il-pubbliku ġenerali kif ukoll l-operaturi fis-settur huma mħeġġa jkomplu jirrapurtaw kwalunkwe periklu jew ksur relatat ma’ xogħlijiet ta’ kostruzzjoni permezz tal-linja ta’ għajnuna 138, li tibqa’ lpunt ta’ kuntatt uffiċjali tal-Awtorità tal-Bini u l-Kostruzzjoni.

L-Awtorità ttenni l-appell għar-responsabbiltà u l-konformità mar-regolamenti u l-miżuri ta’ sigurtà, filwaqt li tassigura lill-pubbliku li l-infurzar se jibqa’ għaddej b’mod sħiħ u effettiv minkejja t-temp estrem.
