As an estate agent, we see the ups and downs of the property market first-hand. Whether you’re buying, selling, or investing, it’s easy to get caught up in the headlines, but the reality on the ground often tells a different story. So, here’s an honest, no-nonsense take on where things stand and what you should (and shouldn’t) do in today’s market.
The State of the Market
Property markets are always in flux. Right now, we’re seeing a mix of high interest rates, cost-of-living pressures, and a general sense of hesitation among buyers. Sellers are holding out for prices that might no longer be realistic, while buyers are understandably cautious about overpaying in uncertain economic times.
That said, good properties—well-priced and in desirable locations—are still moving. If you’re waiting for a market “crash” or a sudden boom, you might be waiting a long time. The key is to be informed, adaptable, and realistic about your goals.
What You SHOULD Do:
