The restaurant scene in Gozo has really taken off over the past 5 years - we've had some exceptional meals this year and it's great there are so many excellent restaurants in our own village such as Zaatar, Vivilo and Llenya - as well as favourites Terrazzo (Xlendi) Pepinna (Xewkija) and Giuzeppe's (Ghansijlem) within a 10 minute drive.Wishing all those visiting our house this summer happy dining!

My month in Gozo has come to an end - its been lovely spending time with friends and family - including the 'surprise' visit from our son Robin Rose! As always there's been plenty of jobs to do at the house - new taps in the down stairs loo and one of the ensuites, toilet leak fixed, bedside cabinet for the twin room painted, garden planted for the season- oh and a brand new washing machine for our roof top laundry! But the thing I'm most excited about is fitting sensor lights in the kitchen cupboards - and this nifty little shelf for cling film and foil! 😁

It's festa season in Gozo! Fireworks are go for the next 3 months with each village trying yo outdo each other with colour, noise and spectacle. These were for the Feast of St John the Baptist at Xewkija over the weekend.

I've been coming to this tiny island for nearly 60 years, but still finding new places to swim. This is Ghar Qawqla, near Marsalforn - easy access into the (very clear) sea and great snorkeling! Sunbed and parasol was €12 for the day - if you're only going for a few hours, the boss-man is happy to negotiate a lower price.
