Toby was my co-founder before I had a company.
He sat under café tables across the city while I built my life one laptop session at a time.
Toby was my co-founder before I had a company.
He sat under café tables across the city while I built my life one laptop session at a time. The baristas knew his order (water, no ice) before they knew mine.
He was there through my entire twenties; every date, every decision. If Toby didn't give the nod, there wasn't a second date. He had better judgment than I did.
When he passed, I held him as he took one last sniff of the world, then closed his eyes. We didn't let him suffer. It still broke me.
The hardest part wasn't the goodbye. It was walking into those coffee shops alone and seeing the baristas' faces fall when they realised he wasn't coming back.
That's when I understood what unconditional love actually means; and how empty its absence feels.
I created RegalPic because I needed to see him again. Not a photo. Something that captured who he was; noble, loyal, the best judge of character I've ever known.
Now anyone can turn a single photo into a timeless portrait. Museum-quality printing. Antique gold framing. A masterpiece worthy of the love they gave us.
Because some souls deserve more than a photo on your phone.
