WE’RE HIRING: JUNIOR ARCHITECT
Join the Luxfair Group Property Development Team
Luxfair Group is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Architect to join our growing Property Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early career architect looking to gain hands on experience across all stages of the development process, from project planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), Estimates of Cost (EOCs), and Programme of Works (POWs).
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure projects progress efficiently.
• Stay up to date with Maltese building regulations, planning legislation, and health and safety requirements issued by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Planning Authority (PA), Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA), and other relevant authorities, ensuring that project documentation and site activities comply with current regulations.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and implementation of Method Statements, ensuring that contractors understand and follow the approved procedures and technical specifications during the ex*****on of works.
• Carry out Condition Reports before the commencement of construction works, documenting the existing condition of neighbouring properties and surrounding infrastructure, and maintain accurate records throughout the project.
• Follow up planning applications and liaise with the Planning Authority and other regulatory bodies.
• Assist with tender preparation, contractor procurement, and contract administration.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and construction progress, highlighting any risks or delays.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Carry out regular site visits and assist in monitoring quality, progress, and compliance with project specifications.
• Assist in feasibility studies and the evaluation of new development opportunities.
Requirements
• Degree in Architecture or in the final stages of obtaining one.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A genuine interest in property development, construction, and project management.
• A valid driving license will be considered an asset.
