Attention to all First-time buyers, take advantage of the Malta Government first time buyers' scheme.

Under this scheme, buyers purchasing their property do not have to pay stamp duty on the first €150,000 of the price of the property, anything above that amount is to be charged at a rate of 5%.

If the property is located in a UCA area or in Gozo, then stamp duty will be charged at a rate of 2.5% on any amount over €175,000.

If the promise of Sale (agreement) is signed before the end of March and the final deed is signed before the end of 2021, stamp duty on €150,000 up to €400,000 will be paid at 1.5% (No tax charged on immovable property “Furniture” within the purchase)

I am sure all Real Estate Agents get asked the same question all the time ''how is the market at the moment?''
So, here's the Malta answer -
in Q4 Luxfair Real Estate received 47.6% of its 2020 Leads in total,
from 18th November 2020 to 11th January 2021 the Top 10 Agents in Malta, Luxfair Real Estate included, showed a slight increase in inventory - 1.88% more Sales Listings and 0.64% more Lettings Inventory (based on website stats).
within these stats Luxfair Real Estate showed a 1.32% increase in sales listings and 2.66% on Lettings
