we candy the peel.
Slowly cooked in cinnamon syrup,
filling the room with warmth ✨

The syrup saved for tea,
the peels soon dipped in dark chocolate,
cookie tins filling quietly,
the kitchen glowing soft and warm.

Today is a reminder that kindness doesn’t need to be big or dramatic, it’s often in the small, everyday moments.

Or, in our house… letting Muffin “taste-test” the flowers 🌸😅🐾

But then came the purring, the head bumps and that “I live here now” look.
Turns out we didn’t adopt her… she adopted us.

Tiny paws, big attitude… she runs the house, steals hearts and keeps Pepper both annoyed and entertained, but he secretly loves having a wild little sister 💛

Today is World Mental Health Day

A topic close to our hearts!
Life here on Gozo gently reminds us that calm doesn’t just appear, we create it in small and quiet ways.
Sometimes it’s a cup of tea, a walk with the dog, baking an apple cake or just a few deep breaths in the garden.
Not every day feels calm and that’s okay.
Life has its tides, just like the sea around Gozo.
Some days we rest, some days we rise and both belong.

✨ Almost ready to open the door 💛

What started as a small renovation became a journey of patience, colour and tiny transformations.
Old tiles uncovered their stories, light found new ways into the rooms and slowly this little place began to feel alive again 😊

It took longer than we planned, but maybe some things simply need their own rhythm, just like life on Gozo.
Bit by bit, layer by layer, this ground-floor part of our townhouse in Fontana found its soul again. A blend of vintage charm, soft tones and that easy island calm we love so much.

Now we’re almost there… just a few final touches before we open the door and welcome you in. To a space made for slow mornings, gentle evenings and feeling at home, even far from home 💚
