🇬🇷 Buying property in Greece as a foreigner? Here's something you should know.
Greece doesn't require foreign buyers to use a complicated ownership structure.
In most cases, you can buy freehold property in your own name, with ownership registered through the Hellenic Cadastre.
But there are a few things that can catch international buyers by surprise:

🔹 Some border areas have additional restrictions
🔹 Proper title and legal checks are essential
🔹 Transfer tax may be calculated using the property's official “objective value”
🔹 Much of the process can potentially be handled remotely
