We are pleased to share that EDITH, located in Port Louis, Mauritius, has successfully achieved LEED v4.1 Operations and Maintenance: Existing Buildings – Gold recertification.
Maintaining sustainability performance over time requires continuous monitoring, disciplined operational practices, and strong collaboration between property managers, tenants, and technical partners. This recertification confirms that EDITH continues to operate as a high-performing building several years after its initial certification.
Through the Arc performance platform, the building achieved an Arc Performance Score of 77, reflecting measured operational performance across energy, water, waste, transportation, and human experience.
The latest performance cycle also demonstrates notable improvements in operational performance, particularly in:
👉Energy efficiency, contributing to an Arc Energy Score of 85
👉Waste management, achieving a Waste Score of 85 through effective diversion and operational practices
For Lavastone, this recertification underscores the importance of long-term operational performance, ensuring buildings continue to deliver environmental and occupant benefits throughout their lifecycles.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the building operational team, tenants, and all collaborators whose daily engagement makes this performance possible. We also acknowledge the support of Prodesign Engineering Consultants, who accompanied the project throughout the certification process.
This achievement reinforces our commitment to maintaining high-performance buildings and advancing sustainable real estate in Mauritius.
