We would like to advise all our valued clients to avoid buying property through Street Estate Agents because they will either swindle your money or inflate the prices. To buy property in Malawi it is advisable to meet the Property Holders and together make consultations with the rightful authorities before making sales agreements. Before going to the authorities like Malawi Housing Corporation, City or Town Assemblies, and The Department of Lands and Valuation check the plot allocation documents and ascertain which authority to consult.
LAND/PLOTS
As a matter of fact it is better to acquire land or Plot from the said authorities. It is risky to buy undeveloped land from individuals even if they have the documents because authorities reserve the right to withdraw any undeveloped plot from the allotee at their discretion and allocate it to another applicant on the waiting list. So you might end up buying a plot which has already been withdrawn from the one selling it to you.

BUILDINGS: can be bought from individuals only if you have ascertained that they are owned by the seller. There are many people who sell properties which do not belong to them without the consent of the owners and these include Estate Agents. This leads to loss of money and unnecessary incumbarances. Meet the rightful owners through this page. As a matter of fact we emphasize that you should avoid Street Esate Agents as much as you can.
