Today, the family of the late Ching'oli Chirwa visited Parliament and held meetings with the Minister of Transport. During the meeting, the family requested the completion of the mausoleum in honour of the late Ching'oli Chirwa. We also appealed to the Minister to construct a tarmac road leading to Chisala as a lasting tribute to his legacy and contribution to the people of Nkhatabay.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of visiting the people of Nkhatabay Mpamba, GVH Simon Chipwayira, who had voluntarily come together to reshape the Kaningina–Chithowi road through community self-help.

I was deeply impressed by their dedication and commitment to improving their own road. In recognition of their remarkable effort, I donated MK1 million to support the initiative.

I commend everyone who participated and encourage others to continue embracing this spirit of collective action for the betterment of our constituency.

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit a development project in my constituency at Chithowi kwa Bukala Chisala, where the contractor is rehabilitating three road sections that become impassable during the rainy season.

I was pleased with the progress made so far.

Once completed, this project will greatly improve accessibility, and make travel safer and easier for the local community, especially during the rainy season.

I remain committed to monitoring development projects to ensure they are delivered efficiently and benefit the people they are intended to serve.
