If you download (or refresh) my mce owners app via https://is.gd/montecristo (desktop or mobile) you may notice a recently placed new social media icon for 360 degree interactive view at the bottom. Click on that and you may see something familiar 😁

When creating the app on your mobile, The third step is to "Save to Home Screen". On Android this is a drop down list and you can see it plainly, but on iPhones you may not see it at the bottom of the screen and you have to scroll left to right to find it. Some might claim that Google wants you to see it and Apple doesn't or that Apple is simply more efficient with screen space. In any case, it is there and the process is actually simpler than getting an app from the app store.

Just added a Rental Request section to the app at the bottom of the calendar under the rental button. If you want to request a rental from one of our owners, simply post a comment here or on the MCE owners group page (please join both) and I will create the request for you right from your comment and using your public FB ID for contact. If you want to include a phone number or email address I can add those as well and add them to the post. Just depends on how private you want to be:)

- App consists mainly of a categorized photo gallery where each photo has description and smart social media, maps and phone buttons relevant to the photo in view

- Further, maps and speed dial buttons as well as the app itself is location aware. For example, if you click the map button on the home screen and you are 5 km or more away then google maps will open with directions to the MCE checkin, but same action inside the resort will map you to the airport.

- Certain features like cellular calling and driving directions still work offline ( but you must have offline area loaded into google maps which is free but does require action while online)

FYI: To create this app on your iphone or ipad you MUST open it in the mobile Safari browser for it to work (I don't make the rules, Apple does). To make it more complicated Facebook uses their own browser when you click a link from inside Facebook (Apple VS Facebook == not good for user). The [Use App] button SHOULD automagically open the app in Safari BUT if it doesn't you MUST click the three vertical dots on the lower right of the Facebook browser that opens up and choose [Open in Safari]. Then it will work... Same for the Twitter browser or the Timbucktwo browser. Apple will only let you create this app from mobile Safari. I used to be able to pop up an alert for the user when this happens but now they even took that away. But you will see a message on the screen. Thank you Tim Kitchen for pointing this problem out to me!

One design flaw in the app that I somewhat intentionally have in, is that the app will upload new content automagically when you first open it without warning. This is convenient for my testing but bad practice for release. I will try to fix that soon with a pop up asking if the user wants an update or not.
