Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch Fernández, is crowned Miss Universe 2025.

It’s a dramatic victory for the 25-year-old who stood up to public bullying earlier in the competition from one of the hosts, prompting a walkout from her fellow contestants.

Thai official Nawat Itsaragrisil berated Bosch, in front of her competition peers, for not participating in promotional activities, calling her “dumb.”

The competition was further plunged into disarray when two of its judges resigned, one of whom accused the organizers of rigging and threatened a lawsuit.

“It seems to me that it is an example of how women should raise our voices,” Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, the country’s first female leader, tells reporters, referring to Bosch standing up for herself.
