If you've walked along the Caribbean side of downtown before, you might notice something a little different on your next visit!

The new **Paseo de las Sirenas** brings art and ocean views together, featuring beautiful mermaid sculptures by Mexican artist Gaby Ponzanelli.

It's a lovely little spot to take a walk, enjoy the sea breeze, snap a few photos, and appreciate another beautiful corner of the island. 🌊

📍 You can access the walkway right by the colorful Isla Mujeres sign, or through the entrance across from the downtown park, near the Municipal Palace.

With the strong winds and waves lately, some areas of Playa Norte have much less sand than usual. But don’t worry, this is a natural part of island life! 🌴

Wind and ocean currents constantly move sand along the shoreline. As conditions change, the sand can gradually return and build up again, bringing back those beautiful stretches of beach we all love.

In the meantime, Playa Centro and other spots along the Cancun-facing side of the island can be great alternatives when Playa Norte gets too windy or wavy.
