Federal and local authorities maintain a visible presence along these highways to support secure entry points and protect the steady flow of tourism our community depends on.

Puerto Peñasco Is Open, Peaceful, and Ready to Welcome You

We know there has been news about challenges in certain parts of Mexico. We do not wish to minimize what is happening in other states. At the same time, it is important to share accurate information about our home.

Puerto Peñasco is located in the state of Sonora. Sonora does not have the same ties to the specific crime group conflicts affecting some other regions. Here in Peñasco, daily life continues as it always has.

Our businesses are open.
Our roads are open.
Our schools and parks are open.
The border crossing is open.

There is a strong security presence and ongoing safeguards in place. Families continue to live, work, and raise their children here without anxiety. Our beaches remain calm and peaceful, and our community continues to warmly welcome visitors.

Casa Luna Llena is a luxurious beachfront home in Playa Encanto that caters to large groups. This stunning home features an expansive beachfront patio with a built-in fireplace, furniture, and an outdoor shower. Enjoy the chef inspired kitchen packed with all the appliances and cookware you could need, including plenty of plates, utensils, sharp knives, a large air-fryer/toaster combo, wine glasses & more. There are 2 blenders! One is in the main kitchen and one in the apartment kitchenet. There are panoramic windows to take in the beautiful ocean views, a center courtyard with a woodburning fireplace, and beautiful architecture both inside and out. Enjoy the additional comforts of smart Tv's in almost every room and a pacman video game for guests to enjoy in the upstairs apartment. The 5 bedrooms include 1 king suite, 1 queen room, 1 bunk room (sleeps 6-7 kids!), a private queen casita and an upstairs apartment with an additional queen room and secondary living room with sleeper sofas and an added kitchenette! The Space

Casa Luna Azul is situated right on the beach in the gated beach community of Playa Encanto. With sleeping accommodations for up to 18 guests, there are 4 bedrooms in the main house and another 2 bedrooms in the upstairs casita. The main house is one level with an open floor plan, large windows overlooking the beach, 2 master suites (with in suite baths) offering direct access to the beachfront patio, a bunk room(4 beds), guest room (queen), main bath, kitchen, beautiful domed Boveda ceiling, living room and dining area, covered patio with bar and outdoor shower. All bathrooms have spacious stand-up showers with great water pressure. The upstairs casita has 2 bedroom suites (with in suite baths), a living room, and its own kitchenette. The casita has direct access to the rooftop terrace over the main house where you can relax, watch seabirds and dolphins, gaze at the stars, and enjoy the amazing views of the Sea of Cortez. There are additional stairs to lead down to the beachfront patio. The kitchen is well-designed with a brand new electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, large coffee maker, and the all important Ninja blender to make Margaritas and smoothies! The smart TV in the living room is connected to the internet, so you can easily access your streaming video accounts. This home is well-appointed with lots of dishes, cooking utensils, glassware, silverware, sharp knives, and high-quality 100% cotton bedding and towels. You'll enjoy the privacy of the home with its gated courtyard, rooftop terrace and beachfront patio that delivers panoramic views.
