One thing I’ve really appreciated about living in Puerto Vallarta is that there are so many genuinely great veterinarians in town. I’ve had positive experiences with several clinics and there are a lot of amazing veterinary teams here who clearly care deeply about animals. ❤️ 🐾

That said, I’ve found that having a veterinarian who offers house calls has been the best fit, especially with pets who are more comfortable at home and owners (me 🙋🏼‍♀️) who appreciate a little less stress during appointments. I also really like that he has a clinic option too when needed.

I’ve personally had wonderful experiences with Dr. Guillermo and his team, and recently Hattie had her grooming appointment at his clinic (by the airport) and came home feeling VERY pretty. 🐶✨

Summer in Puerto Vallarta means jungle-green mountains, dramatic sunsets, warm ocean breezes and yes a little extra humidity and rainy season prep 🌴☀️🌧️

A few simple things homeowners may want to check before the season ramps up:

• Clean patio, balcony, and roof drains
• Service mini-split AC units and replace filters
• Check window and slider seals before rainy season
• Secure outdoor furniture, cushions, and umbrellas
• Keep extra water jugs, flashlights, and backup batteries
• Schedule a pest control spray before peak heat and rain
• If leaving town for the summer, arrange property checks

Most summer issues here are minor and very manageable with routine maintenance and preparation.
