OUR BEACH IS NOT FOR SALE! 🛑
​Another beach bar is being planned right next to the Playsol Blue Flag Beach. If we don't speak up now, we will lose our free access and our environmental protection.

​There is no sewer, water or electricity at this location.
​Our reef can’t handle more runoff! All other Puerto Morelos beach bars here have utilities off the beach.

​Puerto Morelos is currently at a critical environmental tipping point. According to the 2026 environmental updates and the ongoing POEL (Programa de Ordenamiento Ecológico Local) discussions, our dunes and the Mesoamerican Reef require restoration, not further high-impact construction. Adding commercial infrastructure to the beach leads to:
​Dune Erosion: Destroying the natural barrier that protects our town from hurricanes.
​Light & Noise Pollution: Distrupting local wildlife and the quiet character of our port.
​Waste Management Strain: Increasing the risk of pollutants leaching into the National Reef Park.

So many of the locals in Puerto Morelos have been laid off by the resorts and affected by the drop in tourism. There isn't an adequate government program to help with food. I know Robin, who is running this effort and can count on him to get the food to those needing it most. Please help if you can.
