Sometimes, visible stains appear on the roof covering. Although these stains may look like mold, most likely it is a blue-green algae that is spread by airborne spores. The most common type is known as gloeocapsa magma. These stains can be cleaned using a DYI solution made from bleach, water and trisodium phosphate, or buying a manufactured product. Repeat the process every 3-5 years. Cleaning the roof can be difficult and dangerous. We recommend hiring a professional. Do not power wash the roof covering, as it can damage the tiles.

AVOID GAS EXPLOSIONS AT HOME!

The photo shows a small portable propane tank which was installed inside a utility room without proper ventilation, and very near to sources of flames and sparks. This gas installation setup is extremely dangerous. Since LP gas is stored under pressure in a liquified state, even a small leak inside a confined space can produce a significant gas explosion and fire. Apartment tenants frequently rely on small portable propane tanks to avoid gas company contracts. Never allow this situation to occurr, as it poses grave danger.

All kitchens require GFC electrical outlets, which are a special type of circuit breaker that can automatically shut off power directly at the outlet when it detects an electrical fault. Damp areas, such as the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms can be dangerous and cause electric shocks. Using GFC outlets can reduce the risk of injury.
