Data centers are changing the way energy infrastructure is being addressed.

Reuters reported on September 2 that Vertiv agreed to acquire Utility Innovation Group for up to US$2.6 billion, aiming to integrate microgrid solutions and electrical controls for data centers. The key takeaway is not only the acquisition itself: the growing power demand driven by AI is forcing the industry to develop energy schemes that combine grid power + onsite generation + energy storage to accelerate project deployment and improve reliability.

This is particularly relevant for Mexico, which is facing the same challenge. Recent reports on data center growth in Querétaro indicate that companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Equinix are driving significant investment, while available power infrastructure is increasingly becoming a bottleneck.

During , industry experts emphasized that both resources have become critical factors in attracting investment and supporting industrial growth.

Más infraestructura, mayor conectividad para el corredor industrial de San Luis Potosí.

El puente vehicular ubicado en las inmediaciones de BMW, en Villa de Reyes, supera ya el 85% de avance y se prevé que entre en operación antes de finalizar 2026.

Esta nueva infraestructura permitirá mejorar el desfogue de la Carretera 57 y agilizar la movilidad hacia uno de los corredores industriales más importantes del estado, beneficiando el traslado de personal, mercancías y transporte de carga.

Para Parque Industrial Logistik, este tipo de proyectos fortalece la conectividad de la zona, mejora las condiciones logísticas para las empresas instaladas y contribuye a incrementar la competitividad y el atractivo del corredor de Villa de Reyes para nuevas inversiones.
