Reporting changes at INM
INM requires temporary and permanent residents to report certain changes in your status. If:
-you moved and changed address
-you changed nationality
-you changed your marital status
-you changed your name
-you changed your place of work
You are expected to report the change within 90 days...if you go past the 90 days INM applies a late reporting fine of between 2200 and 11300 pesos.
You cannot simply go online to make the change. Like most other types of filings you create the paperwork on the INM website, make an appointment online, and file the paperwork in person (or have your legal representative or gestor do it for you). Some INM offices around Mexico take walk-ins without appointment.
