I thought the hardest part of leaving a corporate job was taking the leap.
It wasn’t.
Leaving a stable salary at Dell Technologies to start over in real estate taught me lessons I couldn’t have learned anywhere else. Some came from the good months. Most came from the difficult ones.
The pressure of earning nothing. The mistake of thinking the good times would last forever. And the realisation that this business was never really about property, it was about trust.
Looking back, the deals matter less than the lessons. Because the things that build a transaction are not always the things that build a career.
