"So far, I am confident that costs remain within original estimates," Malaysia's transport minister Anthony Loke said.

There have been no requests for cost revisions from contractors despite prevailing economic uncertainties.

In February, Loke estimated that RTS Link train fares will likely cost around S$5 to S$7 per one-way trip.

The train will connect Bukit Chagar in Johor Bahru to Woodlands North in Singapore, with about 5 minutes of travelling time.
