RIBA IN ISLAM — A SERIOUS WARNING FROM ALLAH SWT
Allah SWT says in the Qur’an:
1. Allah has forbidden Riba
“Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest (Riba).”
Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:275
2. A severe warning against Riba
“O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger.”
Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:278–279
3. The Prophet ﷺ warned against Riba
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes Riba, the one who pays it, the one who records it, and the two witnesses to it. He said, “They are all equal.”

May Allah SWT protect us from Riba, grant us halal provision, and guide us to what pleases Him.
Our provision comes from Allah.
Let us seek it through halal means, with sincerity and trust in Him.
