【国内】“大甘文丁”重现太平辉煌

第二阶段北部经济走廊中的“大甘文丁”计划（Greater Kamunting），预计从2014年至2030年期间，吸引180亿令吉的投资额，平均每年约10亿6000万令吉，将促进北霹雳，尤其是太平和甘文丁工业的发展。

大甘文丁蓝图晋最后阶段 去年投资额占槟州48%

（太平2日讯）北部经济发展走廊与州政府联手打造的“大甘文丁”发展大蓝图已晋入最后阶段，一旦执行，由甘文丁区至峇都古劳一带将取得蓬勃发展，提高社区人民的收入。
北部经济发展走廊机构总执行长拿督里查指出，该机构于2010年处理20家私人公司，其中5家于2012年在太平与甘文丁区投资发展，使到2012年的太平与甘文丁的投资总额占了槟州总投资额的48%。
他形容这项成果如魔术般神奇，没有人预料外资，尤其是日资会对太平与甘文丁深感兴趣。
日东洋轮胎投资10亿
他指出，去年最大的投资额，是来自日本东洋轮胎的10亿令吉的工业投资发展项目。
他说，随着工业的设立，将可以为人民提供更多的就业机会。
他指出，北部经济发展走廊的四大发展领域，包括制造业、农业、旅游物流业及教育，惟旅游业涵盖内容是历史古迹元素，这也迎合第十大马计划的预算。
里查日前出席该机构于太平甘文丁古尼亚甘榜人民回教学校举办的开斋聚会后，接受《南洋商报》访问时如是说。
北部经济走廊联合私人界 4发展计划高达19亿
里查表示，两周前，该机构也与私人界签下4项发展合约，共达19亿6000万令吉，每州各一项合约，其中霹雳州的落在太平，即是太平购物中心及市中心的四星级酒店。
他指出，这项发展项目，将制造更多的就业机会，可以吸引更多游客到太平参观，逗留更长时间，提高太平经济发展，让资金流动。
他说，北部经济发展走廊主要是推动社会经济与教育，除了拉拢本外地投资，也关注郊区的教育发展。
他也说，该部于今年初拨款3万令吉，改善甘文丁古尼亚人民回教学校的遮蓬、脚车亭等，现代化该学校的基设。
北部经济发展走廊所拨出的410万令吉款项，充作该园3项动物展示围栏的工程正在进行中。
预料3项工程将于今年9月完成，并成为吸引游客的新景点。

Current Menteri Besar of Perak Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir said that Kamunting Raya is one of the Industrial development scheme which is being included in the Northern Corridor Economic Region, NCER (Wilayah Ekonomi Koridor Utara).

He said that currently the development of Kamunting Raya involved RM166,500,000.00 of investment and it will be one of the most stimulative development scheme to the Industrial Development of Perak as well as to the economy of Malaysia
