Damansara-Shah Alam (DASH) expressway launch today. DASH Highway opens to the public starting midnight today (12am, 14 Oct). It will also be toll free for a month until 30 November 2022, the toll rates would also be announced later in the week.

The expressway is a three-lane dual carriageway with 3.5m lanes as well as a 3m emergency lane. It measures 20.1km in length from Puncak Perdana to Penchala, and has a 55.4km effective length when its interchanges are included.

Travel time from both ends is estimated to be reduced to 30 minutes from the 90 minutes it takes using existing roads

The expressway will have 13 interchanges connecting motorists with the LDP, Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), Penchala Link and the SPRINT Expressway.

The 13 interchanges on the DASH are Puncak Perdana, Alam Suria, Denai Alam, Kampung Melayu Subang, Pinggiran Subang, Subang 2, Subang Airport, RRIM (Kwasa Damansara) interchange, Surian interchange, Section 5-Kota Damansara interchange, Sunway Damansara interchange, Damansara Perdana Interchange and Penchala Interchange.

DASH would be the first expressway in the country to “snake around buildings”. The construction of DASH, which began in August 2016 and was completed last month, cost RM4.2bil.

DASH is under a private-public partnership initiative steered by the Economic Transformation Programme. Its 55-year concession period ends on Dec 24, 2069.

The Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) highway will be officially launched soon, as the highway’s social media accounts have started teasing an impending opening with messages saying the highway would be on Google Maps and Waze soon.

The new DASH highway is a 20.1 km long highway with 13 interchanges. It starts from Puncak Perdana in Shah Alam and ends in Penchala in Damansara.

The following is a list of the DASH interchanges:

• Puncak Perdana
• Alam Suria
• Denai Alam
• Kampung Melayu Subang
• Pinggiran Subang
• Subang Dua
• Subang Airport
• RRIM (Kwasa Damansara)
• Surian
• Seksyen 5 Kota Damansara
• Sunway Damansara
• Damansara Perdana
• Penchala

The DASH highway includes connectivity to other Klang Valley highways such as the Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), NKVE, LDP, and SPRINT’s Penchala Link.

There are 3 tolls altogether which is Denai Alam toll, RRIM (Kwasa Damansara) toll and Kota Damansara toll.

The toll fare for the DASH highway has yet to be announced. If we are lucky, we might see a toll-free period when DASH is opened just like when the SUKE highway was opened.
