SHAREDA paid a courtesy visit to YB Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, Deputy Chief Minister II & Minister of Finance, Sabah, on 10 August 2026.

The engagement provided an opportunity to exchange views on housing affordability, access to home financing and expanding homeownership opportunities for Sabahans, while exploring ways the industry can work alongside the State Government in advancing the Sabah Maju Jaya agenda.

Learning through industry exposure.

SHAREDA Youth recently visited KTI's IBS Yard for a technical site visit, gaining a better understanding of the Industrialised Building System (IBS) and its role in modern construction.

The visit provided members with valuable insights into the manufacturing process, quality control and practical application of IBS technology, while offering the opportunity to learn directly from industry practitioners.

GreenRE at PROPEX 2026: Connecting with the Industry and Promoting Sustainable Development

GreenRE participated in the SHAREDA Property Exhibition (PROPEX) 2026, held from 10–12 July 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu. Organised by the Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA), the exhibition brought together developers, industry professionals, homebuyers, and the wider community to explore the latest developments shaping Sabah's property sector.

Throughout the exhibition, GreenRE engaged with both the industry and the wider community, highlighting how green building certification benefits not only developers, but also the people who live, work, and invest in these buildings through healthier, more efficient, and future-ready spaces.

As part of GreenRE's participation, Bhavani a/p Ravichanthars, GreenRE Assessor, delivered a sharing session titled "Beyond Green: When Sustainability Meets Wellness." The presentation explored the growing importance of designing buildings that not only reduce environmental impact but also create healthier, more comfortable, and people-centric spaces.

PROPEX 2026 provided a valuable platform to engage with developers, consultants, students, and the public, reinforcing the growing interest in sustainable and healthy buildings across Sabah.

GreenRE extends its appreciation to SHAREDA for the invitation and for organising another successful PROPEX. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in advancing sustainable development and building industry capacity throughout Sabah.
