If you’re a big fan of pet-friendly café’s or love pets, come over to Cubs and Cups where you can savour stylish food with your pet (as long as you clean up after them!). Grab a cup of their tasty coffee, tea or beer that’s all available at the counter side. As for the food, there is an extensive range of familiar sounding dishes; but each coming with their own unique touch. Dishes like french toast, caesar salads, pepperoni pizzas, pesto pasta and fish and chips can be found here. Also, don’t forget to try out their brunch menu including their signature brunch chicken baguette with a side of salads.

For Goodness Cakes is a quality bakery ran by six Malaysian mothers who joined forces in creating this beautiful café in Hartamas. For Goodness Cakes is the definition of ‘moms truly do know best,’ especially when it comes to whipping up good food. As you step in you will be welcomed by at least one of the six friendly ‘mak ciks’ who will happily take care of your order, as each one carries a different role. Plus, the café is family-friendly with a kids corner for toddlers to play at, while parents enjoy their meals.

Getting down to what they are popular for, order their best selling hearty egg mayo sandwich or their home made banana bread, and pair it with some of their freshly-brewed-to-order coffee. If you are here for dessert, try out their savoury pavlova drizzled with cream and fresh berries. They also serve butter cakes, lemon lamingtons, bread-and-butter pudding and crème brulee. This vegan restaurant is a hotspot for flavours from Mexico. Interior-wise, the café is very bright and open with high ceilings and white walls. Take a bite of Sala’s tacos topped with BBQ jackfruit, purple cabbage, chopped cucumbers, Pico de Galio and cilantro, or a house cooked chilli that’s rich with sweet potato, beans, lentils, tomatoes, vegan nacho cheese and crackers. The shop itself is easily spotted as the exteriors combine wooden elements with ceiling to floor windows. Fitted with bright and creative interiors, Nooks by Baker Dave is an ideal place to hang out and relax. The specialty in this café is the Nooks Duo, which are two petite buns that come in two flavours (tuna mayo and scrambled eggs). Aside from that, there is the Nook Breakfast which is a wholesome platter consisting of chicken sausage, butter and jam, and egg roll with turkey ham.

Lushbowl serves a selection of sweet and savoury bowls packed with a blend of secret ingredients and an array of tropical fruits. Their main objective is to maintain simplicity and freshness in every meal they create, with an added strong flavour that tastes good enough for a healthy meal. The tiny restaurant portrays a contemporary look. Imagine grey polished cement, organic wood finishes, and modern rattan chairs to blend in with the vibe.

For main meals, there is a process of creating your own meal. First, select a base of salad, sticky sushi rice or cauliflower rice. Then you top it all off with a choice of fresh salmon sashimi drenched in shoyu, or a generously coated togarashi mayo with a some hot sriracha. Other meals include their rainbow smoothie bowl consisting of seven fruits. As for drinks, try out their organic cold-pressed juices which are freshly made every two hours.
