From acquiring a condo property to becoming a real estate sales agent real quick. ๐Ÿ˜

As an OFW, nasa isip ko na talaga na hindi forever ang pagtatrabaho sa abroad. That at some point in time, uuwi rin ako sa Pilipinas at doon pa din ako titira. It will only be a matter of โ€œwhenโ€ Kaya habang maaga pa, kailangan ko paghandaan ang future ko.

Ever since I came here sa Malaysia na expose ako sa lifestyle and comfort of staying in a condo. Nagkaroon din ako ng idea na kung yung may-ari ng condo na nirerentahan namin ay kumikita from our rental fees, baka ako din pwede. That way, may passive income ako in the future and makakauwi ako for good na di ko na kailangan magtrabaho sa Pilipinas. This might be a very ambitious dream pero hey, hindi masamang mangarap.

Last year, with the help of my former college professor and the support of my family, I was able to invest in a condo property in Davao. 1 year pa lang ako sa Malaysia that time pero I decided to invest early. Itโ€™s a huge decision pero I knew that itโ€™s necessary and itโ€™s something that my future self will thank me for. I also thanked God for giving me the means and giving me the right people I need to start pursuing my dream. Malayo pa sa gusto kong ma achieve pero at least sinisimulan ko na.

Dapat kung nag aabroad tayo, dapat hindi lang pamilya at ibang tao ang tinutulungan natin. Dapat di rin natin kinakalimutan ang mga sarili natin. Thatโ€™s why I advocate to help other fellow OFW to invest for themselves. Luckily, Iโ€™m able to meet someone from SMDC - real estate developer ng SM corporation sa Pilipinas. Bakit ko naisipang mag invest sa condo at the age of 27?

1) Gusto kong may maipundar para sa sarili ko habang nandito ako sa Malaysia. Remembrance kumbaga. Para soon, may makikita akong magandang napuntahan yung pinagpaguran ko rito. From Call Center Agent to Condo unit owner - yun oh!

2) Pangarap kong magkaroon ng passive income in the future. Yung pa chill chill ka lang pero kumikita ka pa din. Pwede ko kasing gawing rental property ang condo. Madali din siyang e market kasi maraming amenities, maganda ang location, and secured yung place. So if hindi na ako mag iibang bansa, may source of income pa din ako.

3) Lumalaki ang value nito after few years. Dati, palaging sinasabi ng mga magulang ko na magandang mag invest sa real estate dahil nag appreciate ang value nito. Kung ibebenta ko man siya alam kong kikita ako.

4) Hindi ako magaling mag-ipon. Matipid ako kung gusto kong magtipid pero magastos naman kapag nasimulan kong gumastos kaya yung ipon ko ay palaging ubos. Dahil dyan naisipan ko mag invest kasi di ko magagalaw yung perang tinatabi ko. Part na siya ng aking monthly bills kaya di ko na maiisip na may extra money pa akong pang gastos. Forced savings kumbaga.

5) May options ako. 1st, kung mag tatrabaho pa din ako as an OFW, extra source of income yung kita sa renta - kasi pwede kong pa rentahan (twice ko na tong sinabi hahaha) 2nd, may sarili na akong tahanan kung uuwi man ako ng Pinas. 3rd, pwede kong ibenta sa iba para mabalik yung mga naibayad ko na pera plus possible tubo dahil nga lumalaki ang value ng real estate over time.

6) Ito last but not the least, HINDI MO KAILANGAN NG MALAKING PERA PARA MAKAPAG INVEST SA CONDO. Makakasimula kang mag invest na konti lang nilalabas mo na pera. Kung bibili ka ng lupa or magpapagawa ng bahay, madalas kailangan mo ng limpak limpak na pera. Dito, reservation fee lang tapos installment basis na sa downpayment/equity kaya magaan sa bulsa.

Ito yung reasons ko bakit ko naisipang mag invest sa condo. Kung gusto mong mas maliwanagan pa about condo investing, message me para mas mapag-usapan natin yan :)
