❗️A reminder to all property sellers❗️

After selling your property, don’t assume everything is automatically completed. Be sure to follow up with the Majlis Perbandaran (or your lawyer) to confirm that the ownership transfer has been properly updated in the council’s records.

If it isn’t updated, you may still be held liable for assessment tax (cukai taksiran) years later—even for a property you no longer own.

Final note: don’t ask how I know—just make sure you do it. 😅
