*BREAKING NEWS*:
Malaysia PM announces Endemic transition phase from 1 April 2022:
1. International borders opened from 1 April 2022. Malaysians with legal papers can leave and enter the country as they like to other countries that are open. Foreigners with legal papers can also leave and enter Malaysia without the requirement of MTP (which will be removed). My Sejahtera is mandatory for foreign travelers.
Additional procedures to be applied for all:
(i) Fully vaccinated - No requirement to undergo quarantine. PCR 2 days before departure to Malaysia. RTK Professional within 24 hours after arrival at KLIA.
(ii) Unvaccinated or not medically vaccinated - To be described by the health minister tomorrow.
For countries that are still “closed”, need to follow the bilateral VTL requirements (Example: Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Brunei).
2. Face masks are still required.
3. No limits on operating hours.
4. Restaurants are allowed to open for 24 hours.
5. Mysejahtera not required for open areas that are not crowded.
6. MySJ trace mandatory for closed areas.
7. Solat jemaah / prayer activities in non Muslim places of worship can be conducted with no physical distancing. Islamic affairs to be dictated by the states as per the FC.
8. Worker capacity limits removed (up to 100%) in the office.
9. Interstate allowed for all vaccination status.
10. Wedding capacities that were previously 50%, now allowed to be at 100% with reasonable physical distancing.
